Our challenge was to design and develop Junction, a data-driven digital platform for PwC that streamlines mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes. In a market where speed and accuracy are critical, our task was to create an intuitive tool that enables clients to access real-time insights, collaborate seamlessly, and make confident decisions during complex deal activities.

We integrated advanced data analytics with a user-friendly interface built on PwC’s design system, tackling challenges in creating new designs and flows for complex M&A processes. This ensured Junction handled the intricacies of M&A while providing a seamless, efficient experience for PwC teams and clients.

Overview is the central page where clients can view the project's current status. PwC members can add modules to highlight key areas, ensuring that important updates and insights are easily accessible, keeping everyone aligned on project progress.

Key Focus Areas section serves as a digital hub where deal insights are made accessible and actionable. This area highlights critical aspects of the project, allowing clients to easily navigate and interact with key data, ensuring they can make informed decisions throughout the deal process.

Analyses section offers users a comprehensive view of important project analyses, allowing them to scan key data points and insights. It visually connects various aspects of the project, helping users understand how different elements interrelate and contribute to the overall deal strategy.

Create new analyses section lets PwC members generate structured analyses using templates like 'Quality of Earnings' or 'Net Working Capital.' Users can also create unstructured analyses by importing data from Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools, offering flexibility for tailored insights.

Analyses allows clients to not only check and stay updated on key insights but also interact with the data. Clients can leave comments, request reviews, and engage directly with PwC members, ensuring seamless collaboration and informed decision-making throughout the project.

As a result of PwC's Junction platform, clients have experienced significantly accelerated time-to-value in their deals, with improved collaboration and streamlined processes. Using an iterative design process, we continuously refined Junction’s user flows through extensive testing and user interaction. By gathering feedback at every stage, we optimized each feature for usability and accessibility, enhancing the experience for both clients and PwC teams.

Furthermore, seamless communication between clients and PwC teams has led to better project execution and outcomes, establishing Junction as a vital tool in PwC’s shift towards a more digital and connected deal-making process.
